About London
At the time of writing, Britain's capital city is the 15th largest city in the world (by population). Constantly bustling and culturally diverse, London is always exciting to visit. London is best visited by train and traversed by its excellent underground rail system and bus routes.
Always vibrant, London is host to a whole variety of the world's greatest theatre, musicals and sporting events. The famous museums should be included on your essential list: the British Museum, which houses the works of mankind from prehistoric to contemporary times; the National Gallery, containing some of Europe's works of art; the Natural History Museum, a vast collection of dinosaurs, sea creatures and relics from the ancient world; the cavernous Tate Modern, Britain's museum of modern art; the Imperial War Museum, lest we forget the horrors of conflict.
