The Criterion is an elegant and beautiful restaurant in the heart of Piccadilly Circus. Originally opened in 1874, this romantic Grade II listed restaurant has undergone a gentle restoration, adding warmth and comfort to a renowned fine dining venue.
Regarded as the most spectacular dining room in London, The Criterion restaurant exudes timeless opulence. Sourcing the finest and freshest ingredients from the British Isles, Head Chef Matthew Foxon has created a modern European menu that is both simple and luxurious. The culinary highlights on the menu include Grilled Yellow Fin Tuna, Dukkah Spiced Kezie Farm Ostrich, Kentish Lamb Rack, and Devon Duck Breast.
The grand surroundings of The Criterion also present an inviting setting for traditional afternoon tea. A selection of finger sandwiches, homemade cakes, scones and tarts are served alongside a choice of tea or a glass of Criterion’s House Champagne.
Live music performances every Friday and Saturday night from 7pm add to the charming ambience, whilst the famous Long Bar entices diners to enjoy various cocktails and wines, alongside half-dozen oysters, in the comfort of red velvet seating. Served from 12:00 to 14:30 Monday to Saturday, and 12:00 to 15:30 on Sunday.
Dinner:
Served from 17:30 to 23:30 Monday to Saturday, and 17:30 to 22:30 on Sunday.
Afternoon Tea:
Served from 14:30 to 17:00, Thursday to Sunday. |
