Open seven days a week, The Table is an award-winning canteen-style restaurant located opposite the Bankside development in Southwark, just a stone’s throw from Tate Modern and the Thames.
Fresh food is prepared in-house on a daily basis, with an emphasis on high-quality, locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Expect daily-changing salads and specials that are cooked to perfection on the char-grill. Fruit and veg comes direct from Secretts Farm in Surrey, while fish is bought in fresh everyday from nearby Billingsgate Market. There’s also a selection of impossible-to-resist cakes and pastries.
The weekend brunch is a local institution, with queues forming out the door early in the morning for The Table’s famous pancakes, Eggs Benedict and coffee. The Table is now also open for dinner on Thursday and Friday nights, with a regularly changing menu. Specials include a selection of aged Welsh Black Steaks. |
