Set on bustling Essex Road, the Wenlock and Essex is a fashionable Islington bar offering regular live music sessions. With the restaurant run by Michelin-trained head chef Will Pugh, the menu consists of a wide range of affordable pub-style cuisine.
As with many bars near the O2 Academy Islington, the Wenlock & Essex is a popular hangout for those heaidng to a gig. The live music on offer may tempt guests to stay a little longer after dining, and take to the dance floor of the Devil’s Doorway club.
As well as a good selection of beer (including some from the locally brewed Camden Town Brewery), ale, bitter and cider, refreshing cocktails are served from behind the bar. Hearty brunch and Sunday lunch options are infinitely popular. |

Wenlock & Essex is open until 00:00 from Sunday to Wednesday, until 00:30 on Thursday and until 02:30 on Friday and Saturday. However, last orders for food is at 22:30 every day. |
